The previous website was victim to numerous hack attempts. Probably from people who cannot stand the High Icelandic Language for whatever reason. Actions like this are lower than low and show absolutely no respect to the work of Herman who dedicated years of his life working on this. Hacks will not be tolerated, the defense of the new Háfrónska website is much bigger and preparations are made to put a complaint against new hackers. When we see this happens again a complaint will be given to the justice department who takes care of computer criminality.

Everybody has the right to has his own opinion about something. But when it gets to a insulting level, this means the insulting side has no more words left to discuss. Let this be a warning to those hackers and let the discussion about Háfrónska be done at a intelligent respectful level and not in a criminal way.

Once a month you will receive an email containing the new word entries and all other information related to the High Icelandic Language Centre. If you have news you want to share, just send us a mail here.

In the near future a forum will be started. This will be heavily moderated and no bashing is allowed here. Only normal respectful discussions will be alowed. This will be done objectively, people have a right to their own opinion.
